Terms of Use / Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we do. Your order will be entered and processed via Paypal, which accepts credit cards as well as cash transfers directly from your bank account.

Is my order entered securely?

Your order is entered securely via Paypal, the premier online payment service. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) and 128-bit encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to Paypal, its server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.

Once your information reaches Paypal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Paypal's servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

The transaction is handled completely and securely through Paypal, and I am never provided with the specifics of your financial information.

Does the original work look like what I see on my screen?

Every attempt is made to depict each work accurately online, but variations in monitor settings, browsers, etc., make it impossible to display an image with 100% fidelity to the actual work. If you don't like it, you may return it for an immediate refund (less shipping charges). See the return policy below for details.

When will my order be shipped?

In-stock items are usually shipped within 24 hours of receiving the order (weekends and holidays excepted). Occasionally (remember, this is hand-crafted art), there may be a delay of a few days or longer. In any event, you should receive an email confirmation after your order has been submitted that confirms the estimated shipping date.

What carrier will ship my order?

All items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation from San Francisco, CA. Orders which total $200 or more are shipped with signature confirmation, which requires a delivery signature. If this presents a problem (or you prefer that your order be shipped via UPS), please contact us prior to submitting your order. We are happy to make other shipping arrangements, but this may result in a higher cost.

Can I have a gift shipped to an address other than my home address?

When paying via credit card, orders will only be shipped to the buyer's confirmed billing address. If you would like to pay by credit card and have the order shipped to an alternate address, please contact us directly BEFORE placing your order, and we might make arrangements to do so on an exception basis.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

If it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight, we will make every attempt to accomodate your needs. Contact us BEFORE you place the order to ensure that the item is in stock and to arrange payment for the extra shipping cost.

Return Policy

Every attempt is made to accurately describe and depict each work, and we're sure you'll be delighted with your purchase, but if you're not, you can return your purchase within 30 days for a refund of your purchase price, less shipping. Once the returned item is received, your Paypal account will be credited within 24 hours (weekends and holidays excepted.)

What does the frame look like?

Unless otherwise specified, images are framed with a 9-32" matte black metal frame (pictured at right), a Palm Beach White acid-free mat and plexiglass.

Why plexiglass and not real glass?

Plexiglass is distortion-free. Museums across the country have been using Plexi-glass for years to protect their works. In addition, plexi-glass eliminates the risk of shattered glass in transit and is much lighter in weight, which means lower shipping costs and less stress on your hanging hardware.

Can you provide different framing options?

Different framing options are available for an additional cost and an extended fulfillment time. Contact us and tell us what you have in mind.

Do you do commissioned work?

Occassionally, I do accept commissions to create custom Polaroid Image and Emulsion Transfers. This may involve processing a cherished family photo using one of these processes, or it may involve photographing a new image from which an image transfer will be created. The cost is contingent on your unique requirements (photo shoots will cost more, as will photo retouching of existing photos, if necessary), but generally, a custom 5X4" Image Transfer will cost around $400, and will include a matted and framed original transfer. Additional items are available for purchase, including greeting cards, limited edition prints and t-shirts. Contact us to request a quote.
